During the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, Sony had the honor of interviewing Caroline Champetier, AFC, and 1st AC Inès Tabarin about their work on the movie "Annette."
"Annette" was shot on the Sony VENICE with Zeiss Supreme Prime and Angenieux Optimo Lenses. X-OCN ST codec. The team also employed a Sony a7S II as a B cam.
"Annette," Director Leo Carax’s first film in English, was the opening film for the Cannes 74th International Film Festival this past July. It won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Director.
Set in contemporary Los Angeles, "Annette" tells the story of Henry (Adam Driver), a stand-up comedian with a fierce sense of humor and Ann (Marion Cotillard), a singer of international renown. Under the spotlight, they are the perfect couple, healthy, happy, and glamourous. With the birth of their first child, Annette, a mysterious little girl with an exceptional destiny, their lives are turned upside down.
With story and music by Ron and Russell Mael of Sparks, this original musical is a journey of love, passion and fame.
