Filmmaker's Perspective: Renan Ozturk on the Sony BURANO

From filming celebrity Jared Leto scaling the top of the Empire State Building to car commercials for GMC to the peaks of mountain ranges for National Geographic, Director and DP Renan Ozturk’s career has taken him to some extreme locations. Awarded National Geographic’s Adventurer of the Year title in 2013, Ozturk and his production company, Expedition Studios, has gone on to film commercials for everyone from Apple, Porsche, GMC as well as films for Netflix, Disney +. His goal has always been to deliver heartfelt stories and world-class visuals. We caught up with Renan to go behind the scenes of his latest shoot and where he sees the Sony BURANO fitting into his kit.
