Video: A Real-World, Arizona High Country Demo of FX3 with the New Version 2.0 Firmware

Filmmaker Oakley Anderson-Moore recently had a chance to put the new FX3 Version 2.0 firmware to the test at various locations in Arizona hill country. She paired the compact FX3 with three Sony FE lenses, the 16-35 F2.8 GM, the venerable FE 90 F2.8 G Macro, and the new FE 50 F2.5 G normal length lens, taking advantage of the ability to maintain a small footprint on her travels around Doe Mountain.

Oakley dives into some of the camera’s new features, navigating through the refreshed user interface and menu structure to the new Cine EI mode and dual base ISO, checking out the FX3’s low light performance during a golden Arizona sunset, and she imported a few LUTs from Sony Cine’s Technicolor Look Collection, finding ones that enhance the colors of the surrounding landscape.
