Enter to Win: Sony Future Filmmakers Award

Calling all filmmakers! The deadline to enter the Sony Future Filmmakers Award is quickly approaching so we are calling on you to enter your film in any of six categories, including: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Environment, Animation, Student and Future Format.
It’s free to enter and a great opportunity to win a Sony FX6 or other cameras. Plus, the grand prize includes a free trip to Sony Pictures where you will get to learn from the best in the industry! In fact, we are working on a lighting demo with the prestigious members of the American Society of Cinematographers!
Sony Future Filmmaker Award Rules
So, what are the rules? It’s actually pretty simple.
Here are some of the details:
- Each Entry in the Fiction, Non-Fiction or Environment categories must be between 5 and 20 minutes in duration and can be shot on any device.
- Each Entry in the Animation category must be between 2 and 20 minutes in length and be at least 75% animated.
- Each Entry in the Student category must be between 5 and 20 minutes in duration and can be shot on any device.
- Each Entry in the Future Format category must be between 2 and 5 minutes in duration and must be entirely shot on a smartphone.
- And of course, you have to own the content for what you are submitting. (For example, you can’t submit the Weeknd’s latest music video, which you may have DPed.)
